Directions to the Fair

The Fair is on the grounds of Hopewell Elementary School. The school is located at 35 Princeton Ave in Hopewell.

Directions from Princeton
Take 206 South to Carter Road. Turn right onto Carter Road becomes Princeton Avenue. The school is located on your left.

Directions from Lawrenceville
Take 206 North to Carter Road. Turn left onto Carter Road becomes Princeton Avenue. The school is located on your left.

Directions from Montgomery
Take Route 518 West into Hopewell. Make a left on Princeton Avenue. The school will be on your right.

Directions from Flemington
Take 31 South to Route 518 East. Make a right on Princeton Avenue. The school will be on your right.

We're just weeks away from the 2007 Harvest Fair!
Below is information about all of the competitions and contests at this year's fair.

Bake Off
The most delicious competition of the Harvest Fair is back again for another tasty year. Bakers come show off your talents in the 2007 Harvest Fair Bake Off. A bake sale will be held after the judging.

Categories;
Baked Chocolate Dessert
Harvest Muffins
Hopewell Coffee cakes
Twelve and Under: Cookies

Bake Off Rules:
Please bring all Bake Off entries to the Bake Off tent between 9 am – 10am on the day of the fair.
The recipe must accompany each entry.
Please use disposable dishes only.
Please note that no refrigeration is available.
Judging will begin at 10:30 am

Doggie Dress Up
Fourth Annual Hopewell Harvest Fair "Dress Your Dog" parade. This year we’ve added Best Doggie Trick to the line up. Come on and show us what Fido can do. Registration starts at 11am.

Homegrown Rules:
All Homegrown entries must be brought to the Homegrown Display by 11am the day of the Fair.
Judging will begin at 12pm
All flower arrangements should be brought in disposable containers. Or, you may pick up your container at the end of the day.
Ribbons will be awarded in each category.
Kids categories are available in each of the above competitions.

Rules and Registration Information:
Pre-registration is required. Please call Lisa Canzano at 466-3209 or email LCanzano@verizon.net to register. Please leave a message with the name of the child, age, and category.

All artwork must be submitted unframed and no larger than 18”x24”.

Please label all artwork with the artist’s name, title of masterpiece, age and entry category.

A short explanation or story with your masterpiece is welcomed!

All entries must be submitted on the day of the fair at the school between 9 am – 10:30 am. Judging begins at 1:30 pm and ribbons will be awarded.

All artwork must be picked up at the end of the Fair.

Photography Contest
Calling all amateur photographers! Enter the 2007 Hopewell Harvest Fair Photography Contest.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners of these categories:
Our Town
People
Animals/Nature
General
Photoshop Gallery (digitally altered photographs)

Rules and Registration Information:
All photographs must be unframed and no larger than 8 X 10. Please label your photos on the reverse side with your name, category, and age category (adult or child).

There is a $3.00 entrance fee for up to 5 photographs. Photographers can enter up to 5 photos.

Entries are to be presented at PNC Bank at 62 East Broad Street, Hopewell by Wednesday September 26th . A completed entry form and the entrance fee at due at the time of registration. Entry forms are available at the PNC Bank listed above.

Characters Wanted!!

The Find Freddie and His Friends Game is scheduled for this year's Fair. We need people to dress up as "Characters" from 1-2pm at the Fair.

Wooden Car Derby Volunteers Needed

We're looking for 10 volunteers to run this year's Wooden Car Derby.
Volunteers will assist with the set up of the Wooden Car Derby, as well as run the derby the day of the Fair.

Crafters Wanted for Fair

The Hopewell Harvest Fair Committee invites crafters to sell their handmade items at this year’s Harvest Fair. All items sold must be handmade by the crafter.

Registration forms are available from Nancy Amidon and she can be reached in the evenings and on weekends at (609) 466-2085. Interested crafters can also email Hopewell_Harvest_Fair@comcast.net and the registration forms can be emailed to you.

Registration fee for Hopewell Valley residents is $60.00 and $70.00 for non-residents. Spaces are approximately 10’ wide by 10’ deep. Space is available under the Crafters’ Tent.

Minimum bids start at $250 and the winning local business will receive a full color ad on the back cover of the almanac.
